Asian Sinsation

Birthday: July 30th
Height: 5’7″
Hometown: Greenwood, IN
Position: Pivot/Blocker
Signature move/trademark: I am a container mostly. I guess im known for hitting someone continuously until they either fall or go out of bounds, then running to the back of the pack.
Injuries: None, yet.

What do you do for a day job?
-Receptionist

What is the meaning behind your name?
I knew I wanted Asian to be in there somewhere, but I couldn’t decide exactly what I wanted. When I got a text from my dad calling me “The Asian Sinsation”, I just stuck with it.

Tailbone protector or padded shorts
Neither. I just deal with the bruises. Ha!

Favorite quote?
“Fear is only a verb if you let it be.” -Andrea Gibson

Were you a troublemaker as a kid? How about now?
I was a very outspoken young lady. I got myself in trouble a few times for speaking my mind and standing up for what I believed was right. Now? My mouth still gets me in trouble sometimes.

What/who inspires you?
My dad. He has overcome the odds several times and kept a positive attitude no matter how glum the circumstance.

What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby?
- Be ready for your life to change completely, and for the better! Work hard. Take care of your body, and most importantly, HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF! There will be times when you will be pushed to your absolute limits physically, mentally, and emotionally. KEEP WORKING! Every drop of sweat, every bruise, and every moment of pain pays off in the end with a greater sense of self-confidence than you could have ever imagined, and an AMAZING group of women you get to call your family!!

What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world?
Decide what you want. Go for it with every ounce of yourself. And most importantly, never, ever give up!

I am, above all things, a mother to the most beautiful girl in the world. Nothing brings me more joy than to see her happy, healthy, and confident that she is loved.
