What was your first car? 1976 Chevrolet Caprice, it was blonde and tall so I named it RuPaul.

What do you do for a living? I work in Higher Education.

What are the names of your pets, and what are they? We just got a cat even though I’m allergic. His name is Mr. Meow.

What do you like to do outside of derby? Travel, cook, write, craft/sew, read books, listen to music, be with my family…

Were you a troublemaker as a kid? Oh yeah, I grew up in Catholic school. When they let me loose, I was all over the place…

As an adult? I’m a lady…

What / who inspires you? Strong women like those I skate with, my friends and family and people who march to the beat of their own drum regardless of the norm.

What is the meaning behind your derby name? It’s my way of telling the world I want to be a race car driver. Someday, someone will let me take their sprint car for a lap or two…

What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world? Don’t listen to my advice…follow your heart.

What kind of wheels do you skate on? Mostly a mix of Atoms. Sometimes I have three different types of wheels on at once. My favorite wheels are my DUBZ.

Tailbone protector or padded shorts? Proper knee falls.

What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby? It doesn’t matter how you are physically built, it only matters how big your heart is so that you can put it into the game.

What would surprise people the most to know about you? I think what surprises people the most is how girly I actually am, but I usually surprise people with big things because I’m really good about keeping secrets.
