What do you do for a day job?
Hairstylist extraordinaire at Salon 6
What is the meaning behind your name?
All the ones I wanted were taken so I just looked through cartoon characters online and saw Dora, and my friend suggested Dora the Destroyer. I put out a vote with Alice Sullen and Natasha Fatale and Dora won!
Favorite quote?
“If you can’t see the bright side of life, polish the dull side.”
Were you a troublemaker as a kid? How about now?
I was pretty good at covincing others to do things, like one time in camp I convinced a girl to pee her pants (we were on a treasure hunt and far from any bathrooms) and told her people wouldn’t notice and we can say she fell in a creek. They definitely noticed. I was very persuasive and it was for my own amusement. Now? I may look like a troublemaker to some, but I usually keep everyone else in line! I get that hot sweaty feeling if I feel like I’m doing anything wrong. I’m probably the tamest person in their 20′s you’ll meet because I have a very heavy conscience. The derby girls have yet to break me of this.
What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby?
Do it!!!! It will change your life and make you do things you didn’t expect you could do.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world?
Be yourself! Don’t let other’s opinions influence your life. If you love something, do it. Also, do the things that scare you and step out of your box. You’ll be stronger for it!
