Three Cats from Russia…Vladimir (the Godfather), Vitali, and Niko
What do you like to do outside of derby?
Training for marathons, irritating husband, cooking, hanging with friends and family, teaching yoga, watching movies, wine “tasting,” and reading
Were you a troublemaker as a kid?
Yes. I went to a Catholic grade school, and the nuns actually put tape over my mouth and gave me my own corner in the classroom.
As an adult?
Of course. It’s not something one can grow out of without a lot of therapy.
What / who inspires you?
People who overcome the impossible, like my parents and husband. They have been dealing with me for years and have somehow managed not to kill me. They are truly amazing!
What is the meaning behind your derby name?
For reasons unknown, my friends call me Evil Missy. My number is in reference to Genesis verse 3, when Eve bit of the apple and the world was filled with good AND evil.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world?
Work hard and play hard.
