What do you like to do outside of derby?
Things that are aren’t particularly good for me but are amusing nonetheless. I also like to run, bike, and swim (sometimes all at once), read, and travel.

Were you a troublemaker as a kid?
I was a bookish, shy, rule follower.

As an adult?
I managed to unearth my Inner Bad Girl. Actually she’s mostly out-er now.

What / who inspires you?
Women who are strong and determined. My girlfriends, sisters, mom, derby teammates. Plus, my dad really rocks.

What is the meaning behind your derby name?
It’s sort of an inside joke that has to do with my “type.”

What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world?
“To thine own self be true.” Don’t try to be something that you’re not.

What is your favorite inspirational quote?
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence every time you stop to look fear in the face.”

What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby?
It will knock you down, wear you out, frustrate you, torture you, and take tons of time—and you will LOVE it.
