KickaBroad Crane

Number: 1820
Birthday: Oct. 9th
Height: 5’2”
Hometown: Sleepy Hollow
Position: Jammer

What was your first car?
’97 Hyundai Accent with sweet, plastic spinner rims and a bumpin’ system

What do you do for a living?
I hunt Bigfoot.

What are the names of your pets, and what are they?
I don’t have any pets but I do have a houseplant named Britney.

What do you like to do outside of derby?
I’m outdoorsy so camping, hiking, building snowmen, surfing, snowboarding, and riding my motorcycle. I hate being bored, so I’m good at making fun out of nothing. I like to call it, “MacGyvering” my way out of boredom.

What is the meaning behind your derby name?
It’s a play on the character “Ichabod Crane” from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. My
number, 1820, was the year in which it was first published.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world?
Umm, hello? I said I hunt Bigfoot for a living. I think I’m in a better position to GET that kind of advice.

What is your favorite inspirational quote?
“It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get back up.” –Vince
Lombardi

What is your favorite sports movie?
A League of Their Own

Tailbone protector or padded shorts?
Tailbone protector, all the sexy track rash without the pesky butt fracture.

What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby?

DO IT! It’s the most amazing thing you will ever do. You will push yourself, both
mentally and physically, to do things you never thought you could! Derby gives you
confidence and a feeling of accomplishment that spills over into every aspect of your life. Plus you get this crazy, cool new derby family.

What would surprise people the most to know about you?
I have a weird phobia of mall Santas and people in big character costumes. The
fuzzier ones really bother me. However, I’m totally cool with Kamikaze Chicken.
